Rosso Fiorentino
Giovanni Battista di Jacopo
Biography
Rosso was originally born in Florence, Italy , then moved to Rome at 1523 and due to the Sacking of 1527 he moved to France where he spent most of his life.
First he was trained at the Studio of Andrea de Safro then headed to Chateau Fantainebleau. Lastly he ended up in Florentine School
He was exposed with his fantastic art to Michelango and Rapheal and others, raising his reputation. Besides that his lifestyle didn't consist much such as political interest and economic relevant basis.
Rosso Fiorentino was a Italian Mannerist Painter, in which he did art with oil and fresco.
Famous potraits by him are "Deposition 1512" and "Keuzabnahme 1521"
Giovanni Battista Di Jacopo who proceeded his art to very grateful and respectful levels yet his grateful and respectful patrons were Cardinal Jean de Lorraine, Due de Montmorency, and Cathedral of Notre Dame (Paris)
Throughout all the "isms" during the Renaissances, naturalism and mannerism are two that I highly think Rosso suits.
Naturalism because his flawless pieces of art were thoughts of his own which did not consist of others ideas and others help; his art just came to him naturally and his art also consist of nature too.
Mannerism, because with all the patrons, teachers, and guiders he had throughout his life of art never did he disrespect, argue, and not listen to them. He was very loyal and ultra kind with his leaders.

Pieta
It can be found at "Musee du Louvre" Paris, France
The product of this painting was oil on wood, transferred to canvas (125 x 159)cm
The painting seems to have a mainly religious format. It also seems gloomy and sad.
I found this piece interesting because it pops out to be a very "fading away" type image which also enlightens because of the serious mood too. The significance of this art is just the thought and idea put into it. And that the colors used, also cluster in with the tone.
The "ism" that best fits with Pieta is realism because it isn't supernatural or any sort of non meaningful piece of art. It resembles religion and acts upon a really serious event of someones death and other religious people.
