11/7 Middle school magnet programs presentation
This month's book club book is by the Newbery Medal award-winning author of Bridge to Terabithia, Katherine Paterson. We will be reading and discussing My Brigadista Year, a historical novel about a young Cuban teenager as she volunteers for Fidel Castro's national literacy campaign and travels into the impoverished countryside to teach others how to read.
In the library we will be learning: November is National Native American Heritage Month. We will be reading stories to learn about and honor First Nations people. Thanksgiving is also this month, so we will talk about what it means to be thankful and learn about this holiday tradition.
