WHY is having an Education Foundation important?
In addition to the financial benefits an education foundation provides to a school district, the IVEF engages the community in our local schools. Since we are acutely aware of the fact that our schools are educating the workforce of the future, it is imperative that partnerships are formed to guide curriculum that is relevant to the ever changing needs of the world.
We actively seek to build a new audience of ambassadors and monetary supporters for our schools. We work to build bridges to new non-parent audiences, including: single people, empty nesters, senior citizens, retired employees of the school district, non-resident community leaders, high school alumni, businesses, community groups, and other foundations and charities.
The IVEF is a professional organization with the purpose of attracting additional funds and other resources, to support the Souderton Area School District. Our role is to provide a legal, professional mechanism to collect and administer funds that may otherwise not be accessible. We provide a vehicle for grant opportunities for which our school district may not, by itself, be eligible.
The IVEF provides a means for people to show their support and gratitude for our schools. Our unique perspective allows us to provide funding directly to support classroom initiatives and educationally based clubs.
