One or more subtests may be administered daily during our selected time frame. Students not in school on testing days will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window.
We will be testing on the following dates:

April 3, 4; Social Studies (4th Grade only)

April 16, 17, 18; Science (4th Grade only)
Attached is an Information for Families brochure that gives more information about the assessment. Please encourage your child to do the best they can. The results of these tests will be used to help school staff make determinations regarding curriculum, placement, and services to best support students.

Attendance
Reporting Absences on Skyward
Parents/Guardians will be able to report absences via Skyward. When logged into Skyward click on Attendance. When the attendance screen opens click "Absence Requests". A small window will open and list your students. Click add request to the appropriate student. A new window will then open to enter specific information pertaining to the absence(date, time/all day, reason, comments) If the absence will be the same for a sibling it will give you the option to copy the request. After you have completed the required information click Save. If you have questions you can call the front office. Attendance can still be reported on our Attendance Line.
Food Service
A reminder that on April 17 an auto phone call will begin to families with negative balances in lunch accounts.
The call will come via our mass communication software and it will be the same number (The District's main number: 608-676-5482) used to announce other district related events, such as snow days and school closures.
Here is what it will say:
Hello, this is the Clinton Community School District Food Services Department, calling to let you know that your student <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>, has a school cafeteria balance of negative <<Balance>>. We would appreciate payment as soon as possible. Payment can be made in your student's school office or online via e funds. To apply for free or reduced lunches please visit our food service page on our website. If you wish to replay this message please press the star key now. Thank you.
This call will only be sent out if your student has a negative balance (Below $0.00) on their lunch account before the call goes out.
This call will be sent out on Wednesdays at 5:00 pm, beginning April 17.
If you have any questions related to any future calls you may receive, or believe there has been an error, please contact Char Schoonover at 608-676-5482 ext. 1003.
CJSH ATHLETICS
Hello Clinton Community School District Families,
We had some great weather this past week and as a result we were able to get in quite a few events and games as a result. We are hoping for more of the same this coming week. Below are a few highlights from the week.
The baseball team had a winning week as they went 2-1 on the week. They beat Delavan on Thursday evening and then turned around and split a doubleheader on Saturday with East Troy. The highlight of the week is Gavin Wesling hitting a grand slam Saturday afternoon in a 14-0 victory over East Troy.
The track team had a busy week with 3 track meets over the course of the week, which concluded with the Clinton Relays on a beautiful Saturday. The track team performed very well on Saturday, and a special thank you to the Booster Club for providing concessions, and everyone who helped run an event. We couldn’t have done it without you.
A list of open gym times are listed below for volleyball this coming spring and summer. Contact Coach Sara Douglas if you have any questions, sadouglas@clintonwis.com.

Football teaches our youth some tremendous life skills they can carry with them forever. Not only does
football provide great health benefits, both mental and physical, it also promotes camaraderie, teamwork,
discipline, and work ethic that will help shape our children into well-rounded adults. The struggles,
challenges, victories and defeats are all characteristics of football and life. Learning these lessons on a
field of the youth football league is great for building resilience.

Helping Children In Need Sleep Better
We fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went far beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative. We’re a national organization answering the call to a national problem.
All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. In Idaho and across the U.S., too many boys and girls go without a bed – or even a pillow – to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and health.
That’s where Sleep in Heavenly Peace comes in. We’re a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. Our organization has grown steadily over time, and we’re working on opening more chapters in different states to serve more people. NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®.
