- Withdrawal from friends
- Dramatic changes in personality, hygiene, or appearance
- Impulsive, irrational, or unusual behavior
Ways YOU Could Prevent Suicide
1. Initiate a meaningful conversation
-Show interest, compassion, patience, and understanding
2. Show support and ask questions
-Remind the person that all problems have solutions, suicide isnt the answer
3. Try to persuade the person to seek help
- Encourage the person to talk with a parent, counselor, or other trusted adult.
- If you believe a friend may be suicidal, tell an adult, and find out what steps to take.
-You can call a suicide hotline or contact community resources.
