Lady Macbeth is Guilty

Lady Macbeth Has the Biggest Impact on Macbeth's Downfall
In Shakespere's play, Macbeth, Macbeth's biggest reason for his downfall would be his wife, lady macbeth. She uses her evil ways to convince and seduce Macbeth to kill King Duncan. All throughout the beginning of the play Lady Macbeth has used her harsh and rude words and somehow made Macbeth kill the king. In the story Lady Macbeth is talking to Macbeth how he is being a coward and says, "but screw you're courage to the sticking place, and we'll not fail" (Shakespere45). Because that text is so complicated to understand, Lady Mabeth is basically saying if you get your courage up we won't fail. Later i the story Lady Macbeth goes onto saying, "The sleeping and dead are but as pictures" (Shakespere51). She is basically saying that dead and sleeping people cant hurt Macbeth more than pictures can whenever he is starting to worry about people finding out about how he murdered the king. Also, later on in the story Lady Macbeth is talking about how Macbeth has the courage and strength to do anything and Macbeth says, They are assailable. Then be thou jocund" (Shakespere91). He is saying, basically that he is comforted that they can be killed and he is happy. Therefor in the end it is mostly Lady Macbeths because she plays the biggest role in making Macbeth want to kill the king in the first place, which then led to the downfall of Macbeth.
Literary Device #1 Dramatic Irony
In the beginning of the movie King Duncan is talking and saying how much he trusts Macbeth. He says, "There's no art. To find the mind's construction in the face. He was a gentleman of whom i built an absolute trust" (Shakespere27). This is an appropriate example of dramatic irony because the audience knows that Macbeth is planning to kill Duncan. So, he really shouldn't trust Macbeth.
Literary Device #2 Hyperbole
In the middle of the story Macbeth is speaking with the withches about how he is upset with them and he says, "Thou art too like the spirit of Banquo. Down! Thy crown does seer mine eyeballs" (shakespeare56). he is saying that they look too much like the spirit of Macbeth and that their crown hurts his eyes. This is an example because the crown is not actually hurting his eyes physically, he is just upset by the way it looks.
Literary Device #3 Euphemism
Towards the beginning of the story when Lady Macbeth is talking to Macbeth she is telling him to act a certain way around King Duncan so he does not suspect anything and she says, "Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under't" (Shakespeare35). This is a good example of a euphemism because lady macbeth is saying in a nice calm manner that he should just greet the king with a calm gentle attitude when in reality he is going to be a savage and go on and kill him later on in the story.
Movie Connection: Norbit
In the play Macbeth is married to Lady Macbeth and they are both couples that love each other but despite their love for each other, Lady Macbeth seems to play a more dominant role in the relationship, as she is always forcing Macbeth to do something or seducing him. This play is also greatly connected to the movie Norbit as in the movie, the main character, Norbit, is having problems with his significant other, Rasputia Latimore, for she is playing a far superior role in their relationship
Go Norbit, Its yah Birthday
Song Connection: Cupid's Chokehold
In the song Cupid's Chokehold, especially past the first minute or so, there is a couple where the women in the relationship is taking complete advantage of the guy and doesn't seem to care much for the males well being. This reminded me of Lady Macbeth and Macbeth as Lady Macbeth is usually taking complete advantage of Macbeth and always having him do her dirty work.
