Weekly Update - January 25, 2018
8th Grade Students to visit PHS-Central
On Tuesday, January 30th, the current 8th grade class has been scheduled to visit Pickerington High School Central for the day. This is a new and exciting opportunity for our 8th grade students. Transitioning to the high school can be a little stressful. To help prepare our 8th grade class for this transition, we have scheduled this visit so they may feel more comfortable. While at Central for the day, the students will also be presented with scheduling information for their freshman courses for the 18/19 school year. Please be on the look out for this information, and review it with your child.
All 8th grade students who are car riders or walkers should be dropped off at Central High School at the regular time on this day (by 7:10 AM). Buses will drop 8th grade students off at the high school that morning, then travel to Ridgeview to drop off 7th graders. Please plan to pick your 8th grade student up at Central High School on the Lockville Road side at 1:40 PM. Bus riders will be brought back to RJHS at 1:40 PM. 8th grade bus riders will be picked up at PHS-Central prior to picking up 7th grade students at RJHS. This is an important day for our Class of 2022. Please make sure that they are in attendance if possible.
**Note: Students must bring their Chromebooks with them for this visit.**

There may be days when PLSD delays or cancels school due to inclement weather. Please make sure your contact information and preferences are up to date in Infinite Campus so that you get the most timely notifications. Complete information about Calamity Days is found on the PLSD website at CALAMITY DAYS.
Please note that Blizzard Bag assignments are also found on the Calamity Days webpage. Students are required to do the "work-at-home lessons" on the 2nd - 4th calamity days. Students who do not complete the work and return it to their teachers within 10 days will be recorded as an unexcused absence. Teachers will also be directing students on how to find these Blizzard Bag assignments in Google Classroom.
