Message from Principal Grebb:
The class of 2024 is 91 days away from walking the stage at the HEB Center and officially graduating. We have one more week in the 3rd nine weeks and then we hit the home stretch of the school year. Testing continues this week with all of the 11th-grade students taking the SAT this is a great opportunity to capture College Readiness and a score that will help a student get accepted to the University of their choosing. Students will be taking the exam on Wednesday, March 6th. On Friday, Hendrickson High School will again be honored for our inclusion of all students. We will hold a community pep rally at Hawk Stadium to receive our National Recognition as a Unified Champion School. We are one of only 205 schools in the nation and one of three in Texas to receive this recognition. This is the second time we have been recognized the first time was in 2020. I am extremely proud of our students and staff who continue to lead the charge with inclusion and keep up the HHS motto of "I Say Yes!" to everything inclusion. Marielle Schneider
Hawk Staff of the Week: Ms. Schneider is the Assistant Director for the Silver Dancers. She comes in every day with a positive attitude and she is always teaching her students new moves. What a great combination!
SAT Exam (11th Grade Only) March 6th
SAT will be given during the school day to all 11th-grade students. Students need to bring a charged laptop and check the hallway roster for their room assignments. Do your best with this great opportunity.

Mason Deaton
Hendrickson had two students Ocean Maxwell & Mason Deaton who were selected to be part of the 2023 Texas Art Education Association's Youth Art Month Exhibition. These two students will be recognized on March 10 and their work will be displayed in the Bullock Museum over the next month. Congratulations!
VASE
The Art Department at HHS had great success at the Regional VASE contest. Hendrickson also had 4 students who qualified for State VASE on Saturday. The students are Carlos Rodriguez, Sarah Curran, Samantha Morales, and Sofya Zharikova. Nice Work!

Day of Play Invite
Come out to Hawk Stadium on Friday, March 8th to celebrate Hendrickson being named a National Banner School by Special Olympics. Hasbro is helping us with our day of play. The event begins at 1 pm at Hawk Stadium. "I Say Yes!"
AP Exam Payments
The last day to pay for AP exams will be March 8. If you have not completed payment for your AP exam(s) by that date, the exam will be dropped and a $40 cancellation fee for each exam will be assessed (that money goes to College Board). Exams where ordered on November 15 for all students requesting to test. If you are dropping an exam, a $40 cancellation fee for each exam will also be assessed. Hawk Merch for Sale
We have Hawk blankets and tee shirts for sale in the front office. Blankets are $40 and tee shirts are $10.
Solar Eclipse Glasses
The total solar eclipse is April 8. Science Olympiad wants to make this a campus-wide event. Solar glasses can be bought before or after school in B203 for $2 per set.
Prom 2024 Tickets On Sale again 3/20
Prom Ticket Sales
Prom will be May 18, 2024 at the Riley Building (315 Lavaca St, Austin, TX 78701) from 6pm-10pm
· Theme is “Night of Elegance”
· Ticket sales will all be in person. Students will have to fill out an electronic Prom Contract when they pay for their ticket.
· We can only accept cash or check made out to “Class of 2024” for prom tickets.
· Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
· ALL obligations must be cleared before you are allowed to attend prom, even if you have purchased a ticket. This includes parking tickets, hours owed, library books and any other obligations.
· HHS Seniors are allowed to bring a guest, but they must be 20 years old or younger. Guest tickets will have to be purchased at full price during the designated days. Guests must also submit a prom contract.
· Absences are counted by class period.
· We only have 500 tickets! So don’t wait to purchase your ticket!!!
We will be selling tickets in waves to offer discounts to students with great attendance:

Senior Panoramic Picture
The senior panoramic picture will be taken Monday, March 25th at 9:45am. Goldbeck will be here on Tuesday, March 26th during lunches to take orders. See the attached flyer for details.
Project Princess
Project Princess is a non-profit organization at the University Of Texas at Austin. They provide prom dresses and accessories to high school girls in the Austin area free of charge to help alleviate the cost of prom. On the day of the event, they also provide hair, makeup and alteration services as well. The event this year is held on March 2nd and 3rd, at the UT Recreational Sports Center. Please rsvp on their website on the home page which is projectprincesstx.org. The RSVP form closes this upcoming Tuesday the 27th at midnight.
They do also accept dress, shoe or accessory donations and you can contact this number 972-839-2710 if you would like to donate and we can arrange pick up or drop off!

Academic Lettermen Jacket
If you believe you qualify for an academic lettermen jacket be sure to check the wall outside of student services to see if you have earned one.
If so, stop in and see Mrs. Dimmitt and she will give you an ordering packet.
