Dear Cirby Families,
I trust this message finds you well and that you had a joyous and restful Thanksgiving break surrounded by loved ones. As we return to our school community, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and share some reflections with you.
First and foremost, I am thankful for the incredible students, dedicated educators, and supportive families that make up the Cirby community. Your commitment to learning, collaboration, and fostering a positive and nurturing environment truly sets our school apart.
During the Thanksgiving break, I hope you had the opportunity to recharge and spend quality time with family and friends. As we move forward, let's carry the spirit of gratitude with us. Each day provides new opportunities for growth and learning, and together, we can continue to create an enriching educational experience for every student.
I encourage you to engage with your child about their experiences and accomplishments at school. Open communication between home and school is vital for a student's success, and your insights play a crucial role in supporting their development.
Looking ahead, we have exciting events and activities planned for the coming weeks. There's much to anticipate and celebrate together.
Thank you for being an integral part of the Cirby family. Your partnership is invaluable, and together, we will continue to inspire and empower our students.
Warmly,
Farah Friend | Principal

Staff Spotlight 🔦
Please meet Mr. Schmalenberger!
Cirby is the BEST school in the district! I should know as I’ve taught at almost all of them, but have called Cirby home for over 20 years. I have also taught outside the Roseville School District, 33 years of teaching all together. My wife, daughter and son are teachers as well. My wife teaches third grade in another school district, my daughter teaches kindergarten at Cirby and my son is a golf instructor. Physical Education was one of my absolute favorite classes growing up and I’m so lucky to be teaching it. When I’m not teaching I love to spend time with my family or golfing with my friends!
PTC Corner 👨👧👩🏻🏫🦅
PTC will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast Saturday, December 9th in our MPR. There is no cost to attend this event. It will be a great event for all families! Please be sure to RSVP so can we ensure enough supplies for all to enjoy.
Cirby Eagles PTC has some exciting news!! For the second year, we will have our very own Cirby Christmas Tree in Downtown Roseville’s Annual Tree Grove. Our Amazon wish list was completely fulfilled and all students have been provided with an ornament to decorate. Families may come view our Cirby Tree during the City of Roseville's downtown Holiday Celebration which kicks off on Thursday, November 30th, from 6:00-8:00 PM in Vernon Street Town Square (311 Vernon St, Roseville). This is not a PTC event; however, the city-sponsored event is free for families.
Classrooms are finishing up ornaments. If your student took an ornament home to decorate, please make sure they bring it back to school by Wednesday the 29th.
