Travel with Ease after Tips from Fishers Parks & Recreation
Once again Fishers Parks & Recreation is offering tips that can help you plan a seamless vacation the entire family will enjoy. Join Mary Harmon with Cruise Planners to learn about cruise line options for your next tropical getaway. Stop by the Roy G. Holland Memorial Park Building on Thursday, Feb. 11 from 7 to 8 p.m. for free tips and tricks that will help you plan your next vacation.
This program will not only explore cruise line options, but it will identify 10 cruise specific items you can’t go without, explore what cruise best fits your vacation needs and much more. While this program is free to attend, registration is required.

Even though it's cold outside right now, the prepping for Spring Break and planning for Summer Vacation will begin very soon!! Let the Southeastern Swim School assist you in these plans to help your child learn to swim or learn to swim EVEN BETTER!!
The Southeastern Swim School is located at the Hamilton Southeastern High School Natatorium (13910 East 126th Street).
Daytime group lessons are perfect for pre-school/home-school students. Evening lessons are perfect for school-aged children or families with a full-time work schedule. All ability levels will be offered for children ages 3 and older during each session, which makes it convenient for families with multiple children in different ability levels. Children must be toilet-trained or wear swim diapers to participate in swim lessons.

S.P.O.R.T.S.
Spring 2016 Registration – Open registration for baseball, softball, soccer, boys and girls lacrosse, rugby, track and field and boys volleyball will take place January 1-31 with a late fee beginning February 1. Parents may register online or by submitting a paper copy to the S.P.O.R.T.S. office. Parents who register with a paper registration form will need to submit the form with check or cash payment. Credit cards are not accepted in the office. Parents registering online can pay online with a credit card or can print the registration form and submit it to the S.P.O.R.T.S. office with check or cash payment. Registration forms are available on the S.P.O.R.T.S. website, at the S.P.O.R.T.S. office and in the drop box outside of the S.P.O.R.T.S. office front door, at all HSE schools, and the Fishers Library. Hamilton Southeastern Royals Boys’ Basketball Youth Night will be on Saturday, January 16 when the Royals face the Anderson Indians. The JV game starts at 6:00 p.m. with the varsity game to follow around 7:30 p.m. All boys in the S.P.O.R.T.S. rec basketball leagues will be admitted free if they are wearing their team jersey. We encourage parents to attend the game with their sons. Immediately after the conclusion of the JV game, teams and coaches from the rec league will be recognized on the basketball floor – and will then help welcome the Royals out on the floor for warm-ups. Rec teams should plan to arrive by 6:45 pm and meet in the west lobby (the lobby nearest the HSE bench) during the fourth quarter of the JV game.
HSE-Fishers Boys Basketball Pacers Youth Night – Registration Deadline Extended to January 17 – HSE-Fishers Boys Basketball has partnered again with the Indiana Pacers to bring you Youth Night on Saturday, January 30. The Pacers will host hometown hero, Gary Harris, of the Denver Nuggets. Discounted tickets are available for boys basketball players and their families. Deadline has been extended to Sunday, January 17 so order yours today! See Order Form for more information!
HSE-Fishers Boys Lacrosse registration for boys youth lacrosse is a two step process. You MUST complete both steps. 1. Register with S.P.O.R.T.S. 2. Register with boys lacrosse at www.hselax.com by clicking the link under 2016 spring lacrosse. NOTE: If you are interested in trying out for select or travel, you MUST be registered with S.P.O.R.T.S. and Boys Lacrosse prior to the tryout date.
HSE-Fishers Boys Lacrosse Select and Travel Tryouts for the 2016 spring teams are being held on January 18 and 19. Boys in 5th-8th grade may tryout for a select team and there will be both U15 and U13 travel teams. Players must be registered with S.P.O.R.T.S. and Boys Lacrosse prior to tryouts. Fishers-HSE Youth Softball has a new INDOOR facility. Saturday Rec Open Gym times as well as upcoming Rec Clinics will be available to all players registered through the S.P.O.R.T.S. office. Our first Rec Clinic will be Saturday, January 23. We are also offering pitching and hitting lessons at this new facility. HSE-Fishers Boys Lacrosse Rec Callout Meeting - A callout informational session for parents interested in the rec league will be held on Sunday, February 21 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Billericay’s community room.
Southeastern Rugby - Registration for Southeastern Youth Rugby, grades 2-8, is officially open. There will be a $10 late fee after January 31, so sign up now at http://www.hsesports.org/. Don't forget to also register your child with Rugby Indiana at http://www.rugbyindiana.com/register.
S.P.O.R.T.S. Boys Volleyball – Boys volleyball will be offered in the spring of 2016! Registration will begin on January 1. Plans are being made for a season beginning in April after spring break. It will be a 6 week session for boys in grades 4-8. A board will be formed in February to finalize the details. Fishers Parks & Recreation Helps Little Ones Spread Love this Valentine’s Day
Often the smallest give can be the most meaningful, and this Valentine’s Day, Fishers Parks & Recreation wants to help the littlest loves in your life create a meaningful gift for their special valentine. Children ages 2 through 10 are invited to Valentine Pottery, taking place at Roy G. Holland Memorial Park building on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 1 to 2 p.m. With help from a parent or guardian, your child will create their very own heart-shaped dish. Dishes are great for special jewelry, house keys or even set out as a decoration on their own.
Valentine Pottery is the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your little one while creating the perfect gift. After painting the heart-shaped dish, everyone will enjoy reading Splat the Cat. All supplies are provided during this program, and finished products will be available for pickup at the Fishers Parks & Recreation office seven days after the program concludes.

Impress Your Sweetheart by Planning a Special Night Out
Fishers Parks & Recreation wants to help you revive date night! Instead of enjoying the same dinner and movie combination, consider surprising your sweetheart with a night of crafts, friendly competition and meaningful memories. Couples Night Out is a brand new program taking place on Friday, Feb. 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Roy G. Holland Memorial Park building. Couples 18 and older are invited to complete a craft for the other, and enjoy some much needed adult fun.
Couples Night Out costs $17 for residents and $26 for nonresidents, and cost is per couple. Registration is due by Feb. 5, and only one partner needs to register for the program.
