Enjoy the warm weekend!
Some important things to know:
There is no school tomorrow, Friday, April 2nd.
There is school on Monday, April 5th.
Next week, all students (Cohort A and Cohort B) report to school on Monday morning. All students will attend school the entire week, except Wednesdays, until May 17th. (Tentatively, on May 17th, students will be returning to school five days a week.) All students will be expected to keep a three-foot distance, as well as continue following the sanitization and face mask requirements for our school. At lunch, students will keep a six-foot distance, as they are without masks while they eat. Lunch areas have been expanded to the gym, library, and room 301/302.
The April Parent Newsletter is available on-line at this link or by going to the front page of the website for access. It has some really important information regarding the last quarter of the school year. (i.e. testing, athletics, COVID-19 rule updates, and more)
Remind your child to bring their ID card with them to be used when going through the lunch line. Using the card will speed up the process. If they cannot find their ID card, they were also given a temporary card at the beginning of the year. They can use that card as well.
Monday, we also start our final quarter. Report cards will be processed on Thursday, April 8th, and will be mailed home on Friday, April 9th. If you would like to check on your child’s grades prior to receiving a report card, you may view them by signing into your Skyward Family Access account. The program will also show you any missing assignments that would be required to be completed in order to change a grade.
Intramural sports will now be meeting four days a week. (Everyday except Wednesdays)
Homework Center will also be meeting four days a week. All currently enrolled Club teens will have the option to attend the Homework Centers on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
We will not have Wednesday school for extra help on April 7, 14, and 21st due to State Testing. If your son or daughter needs extra help, please call Mr. Strasman or one of the counselors at P. J. Jacobs. They will help you set up an academic plan for quarter 4.
Bridging Brighter Smiles will be offering teeth cleaning services to our students on Tuesday, April 27th, here at P. J. Jacobs. See the picture below for more information, links, and sign-up information.
The summer school catalog is available for viewing and registration is open. Class sizes are limited this summer so register early!
We have extended the yearbook deadline. You still have an opportunity to purchase one at jostens.com for $30.
