Raider Nation News
Volume 2 Ed. 3
Updated Message from Bob Carnaroli - Principal
As we begin school on Thursday, we welcome all of our students back and look forward to a great 21-22 school year. There are a few things I need to share about" Back to School":
Masks will be optional for both staff and students as school opens. There will be students and staff wearing masks and that support will continue based on everyone's personal choice and safety. We will continue to closely monitor the data in our community as it relates to COVID protocols. Be patient the first few days in the car rider line, leave home a few minutes earlier to navigate the traffic and new routine. All students can eat one free breakfast and one free lunch each day again this year and microwaves will be available for students needing to heat up their lunch. See more details below in the Cafeteria section.
We are North Forsyth, we are #NoFo Strong, Once a Raider Always a Raider, because that's how we roll !

Raider Time/Wellness
Raider Time is an instructional period built into the school day where students can receive remediation, recovery, and extension. Students will have a home base where academic advising and school business, like homecoming nominations will take place. Teachers can assign students to Raider Time for help or to make up work. Students will also be allowed to choose sessions with teachers as they evaluate their own needs. The first week of school students will report to their Raider Time home base teacher.
Wellness occurs on Wednesday (Wellness Wednesday). The goal is to provide students 50 minutes of enrichment that address the whole child. We are looking forward to offering sessions, such as nutrition and fitness. Please feel free to share ideas for Wellness sessions with teachers. We want students to be empowered and take ownership of sessions.
