The Bobcat
Don Benito Fundamental - Updates 11/2/2020
Message from the Principal
Dear Don Benito Families,
Welcome November! A time to reflect and express our gratitude for all the gifts life has given us throughout the year. Although it has been a challenging year with the pandemic, I know there is also much to be grateful for. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Don Benito Family! We continue to thrive. As I visit classrooms, I find the majority of our students present, ready to learn and to share their knowledge. We want all of our students achieving their personal best. To review your child's progress during the first trimester, check their report card by logging into the Parent Portal, starting on Monday November 2nd. Please take a moment to discuss their grades. Celebrate their strengths and discuss areas that need special attention in a positive manner. Have your child identify areas to focus on or improve on, by helping them develop a realistic plan to achieve future goals. If you need access to the Parent Portal, please contact Christy Merino at merino.christy@pusd.us. She will assist you to set up your account.
Our Bobcat Boo was spectacular. The students were darling in their costumes, even the scary ones! The pumpkins were so creative; they were all great! The music from Don Burritos definitely put us in the Halloween mood! Sooo much talent! A special thanks to our parent volunteers for their vision, enthusiasm and many hour of work to make it happen.

Don Benito Futurescope
In order to create the future our kids deserve, it is up to us as parents to collaborate with staff to invent it. Back in January we gathered to find out what we all believed was important for the success and longevity of our school. It’s now time to take the next step and create a three year programmatic roadmap based on that input. Join us in a virtual strategic planning meeting where we will design a roadmap for Don Benito leveraging a science and art focus.
This session will be conducted using Zoom and virtual whiteboard tools.
Please register to participate by November 4. Spots are limited!
