Clark Students and Parents,
I wanted to say thank you to the students, parents, and staff for making my short time at Clark special. Unfortunately, Friday, September 30th, is my last day at Clark. Clark is an amazing little piece of paradise, and I am thankful I got to experience it. Thank you all again for welcoming me to your family.

Also, Clark will provide a pizza lunch, but you must bring cash to purchase. Free & reduced lunches will be honored. Email sdecker@irsc.edu or sign up on the sheet at lunch.

Every day is a celebration!
Make a Difference Mondays! Today is Make a Difference Monday. September is both Suicide Prevention month as well as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. You can make a difference by making a donation for a candle or shirt. You can also make a difference for cancer awareness by wearing gold or yellow in honor of childhood cancers this Friday
Take Care Tuesdays! Have you ever gotten burnt out from studying or completing a task? Here’s a tip to help. Set a timer for 25 minutes, and start your task. If a distraction pops into your head, write it down on a piece of paper and return to your task.
When the buzzer rings, put a check mark on your paper. You’ve completed one increment, also known as a pomodoro.
Take a five minute break. You can check the distractions that popped into your head, stretch, or grab a drink.
This is called the Pomodoro Method, give it a try the next time you’re struggling with a task.
Way to Go Wednesdays! No School
Thankful Thursdays! No school
Fun Fact Fridays! Here is a fun fact to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month: Senator Marco Rubio has made his mark in politics as a leading member of the Republican party. A Miami native, Rubio was born in 1971 to Cuban immigrants who fled the Batista regime in 1956, two years before Fidel Castro took over through the Cuban Revolution. His career in politics started when he won a run-off election in the fight for a seat in the Florida House of Representatives. He rose through the ranks and became House Speaker in 2005, the first Cuban American to do so.
