Student Learning Model Preference Survey for Next School Year

Current 9th, 10th, & 11th Grade Families:

Preparing for the next school year has begun, and we need your feedback! As previously communicated, the District is planning the 2021-2022 school year with a return to full-day, five days per week, on-campus learning schedules for students across all grades. This decision is based upon the current guidance from both state and local public health officials.

We recognize that choices related to a student's preferred learning model and location remain important to our students and families. Therefore, we request for all families to please complete this Student Learning Model Preference for the 2021-2022 School Year survey.

We ask that families please complete this survey for each child that attends a CVUSD school prior to the survey deadline of Friday, June 4th at 4:00pm.

The completion of this survey will inform us of what learning model you are most interested in for your child(ren) for the 2021-2022 school year. It is important to note that the completion of the survey is for planning purposes, and it is not an enrollment form. The information we receive from this survey is critical to our planning process for next school year, especially as it relates to staffing and program funding.

Thank you in advance for your feedback. Your continued partnership is truly an invaluable component of our District’s success!

General Announcements & Information

Attendance Reminder

Please be reminded that, even in Remote Learning, if you are absent from school/class the absence needs to be cleared by calling our Attendance Office at (805) 373-1790. Informing the teacher of the absence will not clear the absence in Q. Thank You!

Pick-up and Drop-off Expectations

Westlake High School would like to share with you the following traffic and pedestrian reminders:

  1. Students are not allowed to walk across Lakeview Canyon Road or any other street at any time unless they are crossing through a designated crosswalk. If a student decides to jaywalk across any street, not only are they putting themselves in danger, they will also be at risk of getting a citation from the Thousand Oaks Police Department.
  2. Please be advised that the pick-up and drop off zone in front of the school is to drop off and pick up students only. Do not park in this designated zone as it prevents others from using this designated zone.
  3. As you are entering Lakeview Canyon Road, please abide by the 25 mile per hour speed limit at all times and be alert of any student walking across the street.
  4. You are strongly encouraged to drop off and pick up your student from the student parking lot as there is less traffic and it allows students to enter the campus between Building 1 and 4.

Free Student Lunch Available

Free lunch is available for all students. No student ID is required. Stop by the cafeteria snack window or by the bridge to pick up your free lunch.

Campus Visitors

Be reminded that all staff, students, and visitors to Westlake High School will be screened upon entering campus. This includes wearing of a mask while on campus, temperature taken, and questions regarding current health. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
