The Principal's Desk At Sycamore ES

April 11, 2016

Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope that you had an enjoyable time with your family and friends. It is always a great time for renewal and I sincerely hope that you were able to create beautiful memories during this time.

This week our students will return to a week of learning as they get back into the flow of school. Teachers will review the rules and also remind them of how to set goals and achieve them. Thank you for talking to your children about getting ready for this week. Attendance is very important this last 9 weeks of school. We will continue to recognize our perfect attendance students and we hope to see more students receive this recognition at the end of the year.

Our students in grades 3-5 will be getting prepared for the Georgia Milestones assessment this week. It will be a great time to discuss with them how proud you are and the high expectations you have of them. This will make them feel much calmer next week when they begin their assessment.

Before we left for Spring Break, I was able to honor all of our parent volunteers. We had a great time and I am grateful for all who were able to attend. Thank you to all of you who support our school and offer any additional time to our staff and students.

Have a wonderful week!
