A Note from the Principal
Dear SPB Families,
A Green Knight to Remember this past Friday was a great success, and it was a wonderful opportunity to bring together people from our school and parish communities to celebrate and support Catholic education at Saint Paschal Baylon Catholic School. It was an evening full of food, fellowship, and fun! Thank you to all of the families who were able to support our school that evening whether it be by simply being present, bidding on an auction item, or sharing what makes this community of faith so special. Also, thank you to the small but VERY MIGHTY core committee who worked diligently to organize such a wonderful event: Kim Sangagata, Michele Longano, Chris Hart, and Kathy Zagar. All of the proceeds from this event will be directed to our school for the benefit of our students.
I would be remiss not to recognize Beth and Joe Carlton, SPB parishioners and former school parents, and Bob and Gail Mastrangelo, SPB parishioners and former school parents, who were honored during A Green Knight to Remember. The Carltons and the Mastrangelos are two very special couples who have been great supporters of our school and parish for many years. Their commitment and dedication to our school and parish are beyond measure. We have been truly blessed by their leadership, selflessness, and generosity.
Blessings,
Diane Raguz, Principal

Playground Volunteers Needed-Grades 6, 5, 4
We are asking that each family (mom, dad, grandma, etc.) choose at least two days to volunteer each time slot being 11:10 am-12:55 pm. There are many, many time slots open! We are so grateful for the help!
Grade 6 families are asked to volunteer in November, Grade 5 families in December, and Grade 4 families in January.
This is a great way for you to interact with your child and his/her classmates during the school day! Recess Volunteers should arrive to school at 11:10 and check in at the office. Duties will include supervising students at recess, escorting the students to and from the school doors. Volunteers will be with one school staff member each day to help direct.
Remember that after your two volunteer time slots, you are done for the year, as each month is assigned to a different grade.
Thank you again for your time and service to the students and teachers of SPB! Simply click on the following links to sign up: Grade 6, Grade 5, Grade 4

Fall Altar Server Training for Second Graders/New Servers
We want you to feel comfortable in this important ministry of service to the church, the altar, and our priests. Sign up for second graders and other grade levels to become an altar server begins on Monday, February 6 after school, with four sessions in church, ending on March 19 installation service at 10:30 Mass. New servers may look to the parish website and train with the special Altar Server Training Video, a college project.
After care will be provided free by Father Lane, who is conducting the training with our deans of altar serving. We are grateful to the parents for giving their children this opportunity that so many of us had when we were in grade & high school to serve at the altar of God. For those youth who are not able to make all the practices or any, please let Father Lane know and you may come on the weekends to “shadow” with a current server for “on-the-job training." To register, please contact Kathryn Mailer, Coordinator: katmailer416@gmail.com
