Knox will celebrate the 179th anniversary of its founding with the presentation of Alumni Achievement Awards at the 2016 Founders Day Convocation this Friday. This event is free and open to the public.
Knox will present Alumni Achievement Awards to Dr. Thomas E. Brown '64, psychologist and author of Smart but Stuck: Emotions in Teens and Adults with ADHD; Dr. Ernest Buck, '74, a physician recognized statewide for his contributions to the health and welfare of the children of Texas; and Marcea Bland Lloyd '68, retired senior vice president, chief administrative officer, and general counsel for Amylin Pharmaceutical, known for her distinguished leadership of women through mentoring, education, and leadership training.
Young Alumni Achievement Awards will be presented to Rachel Abarbanell '02, whose work in television and film development includes such films as Interstellar and the new Amazon series,Good Girls Revolt; and Katie Bell '08, named one of "8 Great Brooklyn Artists Under 30."

UB presents: The Big Pink Volleyball Tournament

Gather your friends and get a team together to participate in the annual Big Pink Volleyball Tournament. The Big Pink Volleyball is 48" diameter; which means it's HUGE! To play in the tournament it is $5.00 a person and teams can consist of 4-8 people. T-shirts are also available for purchase during tabling all week long (T-shirts cost $10.00). All proceeds go to the Knox County Health Department to offset travel costs to and from breast cancer scans and treatments.

Common Ground is ordering t-shirts! We're hoping for something new and fun, so we're opening up a contest! Submit your t-shirt designs to Luna, mlluna@knox.edu, by the 22nd, and you may win! Winning includes your design being THE design for our t-shirts, plus you get a free shirt of your design for yourself! Any and all submissions welcome, but please be appropriate and respectful.
Advancement Teleambassador Position
The Office of Advancement is hiring Advancement Teleambassadors to work in the Call Center beginning in March through the end of the Academic Year. Please review the position descriptions below before applying.
Advancement Ambassador (Phone) - Multiple Positions
Sunday through Thursday from 5-9pm, up to 20 hours per week
Advancement Teleambassadors play an important role in the relationship between Knox College and our alumni. As a student caller, you will have phone conversations with alumni, parents, and friends of the College regarding all of the exciting changes happening on our campus and your personal experiences as a student, and to ask for support of the Knox Fund.
Applicants should be articulate, enthusiastic, goal-oriented, and love to talk! Expect to have fun, meet new people, and work in an energized, team environment. This position will provide you with an opportunity to make a difference at Knox, along with gaining skills for future employment opportunities.
This job is is not work study and we will be calling for the rest of the year.
