Is a note taking app that lets the students take notes and tapes the voice of the instructor at the same time. This really benefits those students who have memory issues as they can go back and listen to the lecture and review their notes. Just click a section of the notes and the student can hear that part of the lecture
Inspiration
Is a graphic organizer app that helps students organize their thoughts for writing a variety of texts. It can also help with the outline for creating presentations.
iStudiez Pro
This app can be used by students to organize their school life and whole life if desired. Students can put in dates of classes and location, due dates of assignments. All this information can be viewed in a day or week settings. A student can add contacts of individuals who they might be working with on assignments. It helps keep track of your grades. Apps for Students who are non-verbal
Tap and Speak
This app can replace the Big Mac button or a switch for children to push to play messages so they can communicate with others. What is great about this app is that it can have an unlimited number of messages, the messages can be as long as required, the messages can be edited and the colour of the button can be changed to the colour the students prefers.
iPrompts
Is a visual support program that helps with the creation of picture schedules and choice prompts. It also has a visual count down timer to show the students how much time is left of an activity. The purpose of this app is that by using these features it helps reduce frustration for the non-verbal student. It is also portable and can be taken anywhere.
Prolquo2Go
Prolquo2Go is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) app for the iPad or iPhone. The app helps people who are non-verbal or with verbal communication difficulties communicate. By touching the picture of a word the word will be said by the program. There is an extensive vocabulary library to help students build sentences they would otherwise be unable to express. InnerVoice is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication app for iPad. It gives those with communication exceptionalities who have challenges speaking and teaches them how to speak for themselves. Recommended by speech pathologists assistive technology specialists, those using the app can be their own teacher by seeing their own face in the iPad and practicing basic communication to themselves (self-modeling) and building confidence doing so.
