Folsom School News
February 2020
Dear Folsom Families,
We want to know what you think about Folsom School! We are asking for parents to participate in the short survey below in order to help us improve student relationships, parental engagement, learning opportunities, and the school’s overall culture and climate. A similar survey will also be given to students in grades 3-8 by the end of February. It should be noted that all the surveys are anonymous and confidential.

The survey results coupled with existing local data (i.e. - attendance rates, student grades, & standardized test scores) provide valuable information to what we are doing well and identify areas in need of improvement. If you have any questions, please contact me at 609-561-8666 ext. 111 or via email at mmazzoni@folsomschool.org.
Go Falcons!

Curriculum
Our 2nd annual Meatballs and Math Parent Information Night on January 23rd had a successful turnout. Families enjoyed a meal prepared by our kitchen staff and “Chef Mazzoni”, learned various math games and ideas from our teaching staff, and participated in a plane making and flying contest to measure distance with our PRIDE committee.
Looking ahead, we will be hosting our next Parent Information Night on March 4th. This night will be connected with our annual book fair hosted by Folsom Home and School Association. Please keep a look out in your child’s folder for more information.
January is a time of year where we reassess our teaching and how the students are progressing. In your child’s folder you may see information for middle of the year MAP assessments. This report is to keep you informed of your child’s progress but also to assist the teacher in working with your child. If you have any questions or would like more information on our MAP assessments please contact me. My contact information is 609-561-8666 ext. 120.
