In order to simplify communication with our Panther community, we have made the decision to move away from a separate Pierce PTA website. Beginning this week, you can find all the info from the old PTA website on Membership Toolkit (MTK).
While on MTK be sure to check out:
- Visit the PTA info tab for information on lots of PTA-sponsored programs & events.
- Archives of PTA Posts & PTA meeting minutes can be found there too.
- Visit the Calendar tab to see what’s coming up at Pierce – you can even sync this calendar with your phone calendar for easy updating!
- Volunteer Opportunities and the Pierce Online Store are also great places to visit while you’re checking it out – here you can find out ways to help out at events coming up and purchase your tickets for our upcoming Trunk or Treat!
Please let us know if you have any feedback about the new website – email pierceelementarypta@gmail.com with any questions, comments or suggestions!

Scholastic Book Fair
Wednesday, November 8 & Thursday, November 9
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers – AND, as always, every book they buy earns rewards for our school.
The book fair will take place in the Pierce Media Center from 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm (with a break from 4:00 pm– 5:00 pm) on November 8 and 9 during Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Volunteers are needed to help during the book fair with purchases & assisting families in locating books. We also need help setting up the book fair on November 1, and taking it down on November 10. If you are able to help, please sign up below.
Conference Dinners
Wednesday, November 8 & Thursday, November 9
One of the ways our Panther community supports our staff and teachers is by providing dinner during Parent/Teacher Conferences. PTA sponsors the purchase of the main meal from a local restaurant, but we need your help rounding out the meal. Please consider donating for conference dinners and stocking the staff lounge! In addition to the items listed, K-Cup coffee, plates, napkins, and plasticware are always in need!
Volunteer Opportunities
Front Office Volunteers
Our front office is looking for volunteers to assist on a bi-weekly basis. Shifts would be either morning or afternoon, every other week – typically looking to have one volunteer per shift. If you are interested and available, please reach out to Carey Shields Larson (CLarson@birmingham.k12.mi.us) for more details.
Noon Aid Sub
Noon Aids assist daily in our cafeteria and on our playground, helping our lunch time run smoothly. At times, we need subs to fill in when our usual noon aids are out. If you can be available from 11:15 AM – 1:30 PM and would like to be placed on the Noon Aid On-Call List (you will only get called when there is a need), please email Rose at RDorre@birmingham.k12.mi.us.
