What it is: Temple Honors has a Snapchat account (@templehonors) that functions as a way for students to connect with current and prospective students
How it works: Every day a different Honors student “takes over” the Snapchat account and showcases their Temple experience in a "Day in the Life" style of content.
How you can participate: Follow us @templehonors to see some examples of how it works! Send an email to lisa.platz@temple.edu with your grade, major, and what day you’d be interested in taking. Anyone can participate!

Bread & Roses Community Fund Scholarship
Bread & Roses is known for the grants we give to local movements for change, but we are also the stewards of a storied scholarship program: the Jonathan Lax Scholarship for Gay Men. The scholarship was established in 1994 by the late entrepreneur and inventor Jonathan R. Lax, who was also a courageous activist in the struggles for civil rights for LGBTQ people.
Jonathan Lax created this scholarship to encourage other gay men to obtain education, contribute to society, be out about their sexual orientation, and act as role models.
Each year, the Jonathan Lax Scholarship Committee awards tuition scholarships to out gay men who are from Philadelphia or studying in Philadelphia. Do you know anyone who might be eligible? The deadline to apply for the 2019-2020 academic year is November 1, 2018.
We created a 10-minute informational video to answer frequently asked questions and explain the process and timeline; it can be accessed by clicking above. Thank you for your help spreading the word about this opportunity to support the growth and development of gay men in our community. Click here for more info.
