Mrs. Campbell's Notes
Thank You!
Thank you parents/guardians for the continued involvement and priority you put into your child's education daily. You helping them stay on top of their homework, checking grades on Skyward, communicating with them about their school day, having them read at home and making sure they are at school every day and on time does not go unnoticed.
Thank you parents/guardians who volunteer your time and talent to help enhance our school and activities! We see you working the concession stand, attending meetings, hustling from work to be at an event, and organizing fundraisers. Our extra activities wouldn't be dynamic if it wasn't for our volunteers.
Thank you parents/guardians for supporting our students in their extracurricular activities. Thank you for driving them to and from events, picking them up from practice on time, cheering positively from the stands, supporting our students on social media even though they are not your child, and attending all school events. We know it can be a struggle at times, but you make it happen.
Thank you Kingman Community for sharing in the love of our students and our district by supporting our students and teachers. We see the community involvement at events, participating in fundraisers, attending pep rallies, volunteering at events, acknowledging staff, and just being interested in our students and school. Our community support is top-notch and we appreciate all of you!
Thank you Eagle Family! We see you!

Apply Kansas: Apply Kansas is a campaign that was started several years ago to encourage seniors to apply to schools in Kansas. KHS has been participating since the start. This school year colleges in Kansas are waiving their application fees as well from November 7th to the 9th. Mrs. Munz will be calling interested seniors down during Power Hour on November 8th to participate in the Apply Kansas event.
College visits: Colleges are excited to share information about their schools. We have several visits scheduled for this month. Colleges that will be visiting include WSU Tech, Dodge City Community College, Wichita State, and Hutchinson Community College. Students are encouraged to stop by their table when they are here and get some amazing information.

Reading Tips for Parents of Middle Schoolers (High Schoolers Too!)

Library News–Chromebook Crisis!
Our library houses eight extra Chromebooks for students who need to borrow one when theirs is in for repairs or for the students who occasionally forget theirs. We have had a recent uptick of students who forget their laptops. There has also been an uptick of students forgetting their charge cords, so they check out a loaner because they can’t charge their own laptops. We only have eight, and they are really reserved for the kids who have technical issues, not for chronic forgetfulness. While Mrs. Hutton loves to see your students, she would rather see them checking out books, not checking out laptops. Please help students to make charging their Chromebooks over night a priority and remind your students to grab their Chromebooks AND charge cords before they head out the door every morning!
A Great Way to Recognize Our Teachers
A Note from Food Service
If you do not qualify now but you experience a hardship such as a job loss, extended illness or other circumstance, you can apply at any time through the school year.
