ACADEMIC ACCOLADES
CHS celebrated the academic accomplishments of hundreds of students last week. The celebrations began on Tuesday night with recognition of department award winners and 9th, 10th, and 11th graders in the top 5%. We hosted Senior Scholarship Night on Wednesday, and it was announced that the Class of 2018 has already earned more than $20 million in scholarship offers. On Thursday, over 800 students enrolled in honors courses and maintaining a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA received State 48 Academic t-shirts and treats during the lunch-time Honors Scholar Celebration. Deserving seniors also received 2018 IMPACT Scholarships for exceptional academics and dedication to the community at a district-wide recognition ceremony. Congratulations to all of the students who earned awards last week!

PROJECT UNIFY COMMUNITY SERVICE
CHS Project Unify volunteered at Feed My Starving Children on May 8th. Students were able to pack, as a group, enough food for 97 children in third world countries to eat for an entire year. They had a great time and were able to realize the value of volunteering to help those in need.
CULINARY PROJECTS
CHS Culinary students participated in two great projects last week. First, the students created a display of 450 cupcakes with handmade fondant decorations for the Project Unify Hawaiian Luau end-of-year dance. The students also packed summer snack packs for Matthews Crossing Food Bank to distribute to families in our community. Excellent work, Wolves!
