CHS9 Staff Bulletin 9-6-19
"Everyone. Everyday. Whatever it takes."
Gorka's Gab
This week we had educators from Germany come visit CISD and they spent two hours on our campus. They were focused on evaluating school and classroom structures. They were impressed with your work! Thank you all for your intentional and dedicated work to create a structured and organized learning environment!
Next Friday the 13th, we will have CISD's mental health expert, Kelly Locke, presenting to us throughout the day during our conference periods. She is covering the topics of anxiety and self help. These are two areas of great importance in any profession but especially ours. We give all day and we need to know how best to take care of ourselves so we never lose sight pf our calling and purpose.
Nurse Ansley has organizes our campus flu vaccination day to be October 2nd. Walgreens will be here to offer this opportunity to us during our lunches.
The links to purchase your "jeans passes" are below. Make sure to print your receipt and bring to Audrey so she will get you your pass to hang outside your classroom door. Remember all proceeds are used to support staff lunches and recognition! Also, you don't have to have a "jeans pass" to wear a college shirt. This is something we would like everyone to do to support higher education. Your shirt can be a great way to start a conversation with your students!
I have attached a picture of the breakdown of the bond below. Click the link below to educate yourself on more details. Please share this information will all of your voting neighbors and friends!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Counselor's Corner
It is our understanding that at this time Kelsey Seybold does not have mental health providers. But, that does not mean you can't access mental health! See notes below. You also have access to SupportLinc through our EAP (employee assistance program), please see flyer attached. SupportLinc provides mental health services through a variety of formats including online.
If you have Kelsey-Seybold insurance, you will access the Choice Plus network (United Health Care) for mental health providers, since Kelsey doesn't have any mental health providers in their network.
Follow these steps:
Find a Doctor (Right side of the Blue Ribbon)
Find a Physician, Hospital or Healthcare Facility
Mental Health Directory
Location – Make sure it is set to the zip code where the provider might be or where the employee lives
