CSD Code of Conduct and Talley Street Student/Family Handbook
Families:
Please check your child's communication folder this week for a sheet to sign indicating that you have read both the CSD Code of Conduct and the Talley Street Student/Family Handbook.
Morning and Afternoon Arrival and Dismissal
Beginning Monday, we will be implementing new procedures during car rider arrival and dismissal. Please read carefully and familiarize yourself with the following:
ARRIVAL:
- Drop off begins at 7:20.
- Do NOT drop your child off. A staff member will open the car door for you.
- Pull forward as far as you can to the open cone. Do NOT stop in the middle of the road.
DISMISSAL:
- Talley Street will supply you with a sign with your child's name on it to hold up for staff to see. You must use the one we give you and may not make one of your own. If you do not have the correct sign, you will need to park and enter the building to provide identification.
- Pull forward as far as you can to the open cone. Do NOT stop in the middle of the road.
- Display your sign so staff can see. We will call for your student and assist getting them in the car.
Please follow these directions to ensure the safest possible arrival and dismissal for your child. Thank you!
Other arrival and dismissal reminders:
- Please turn on your car’s right turn signal as you pass the front of the school and prior to turning into the parking lot. It has been difficult determining if someone is turning or going straight down Talley Street. This is causing an additional safety hazard. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
- We are having an increasing number of cars trying to make a left hand turn into the school parking lot. Remember, only Right hand turns are allowed during arrival and dismissal times.

Beginning Orchestra will start the first week in October and is open to all students at Talley who would like to learn to play the violin, viola, cello, or bass. (At this point, we would like to ask students and parents to consider the merits of learning the viola, cello, and bass so that we will have a balance of sound.)
