MEET YOUR COUNSELORS
Grades: 1st, 3rd, 5th
Hi! I must say, I have THE BEST JOB! I am a proud product of Cy Fair ISD. Before graduating from Langham Creek High School, I attended Labay Middle School and Lowery Elementary. I have been in education since 2005. Before I went into counseling, I taught 3rd grade at Holbrook and Lowery Elementary. I became a counselor in 2013 and became an Rennell Redhawk in 2018. I have 2 kiddos that both attend Rennell. My daughter Bella is in 4th grade and my son David is in 1st grade. I love being a counselor at Rennell Elementary!

Hi Redhawks! I am one of your counselors this year! I started my journey as a Cy-Fair student attending Bang Elementary, Cook Middle school, and graduating from Jersey Village High School. I then graduated from Sam Houston with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (EC-6), and then my received my Master's degree in School Counseling from Lamar University. I have now have been a Cy-Fair Educator for nine years and a Redhawk for three. I love this community! My husband and I have a little girl named Renee, who is four and baby boy, Ace who is one. I am so excited for a great school year!
Core Essentials Values Character Traits
This month students will learn about having WISDOM and taking INITIATIVE.
Having WISDOM is explained as finding out what you should do and doing it. We can reflect on having WISDOM each day by thinking about the wise decisions we made throughout the day.
When we discuss INITIATIVE we will encourage students to see what needs to be done and doing it. Students can show initiative by volunteering to clean up dishes or writing down goals they want to accomplish during the day. Each of these values will help students be the best they can be!
Gifted and Talented
Testing
Mid-Year:
Students may be referred at any time. Students whose Parent Survey and Permission is received by the last school day in November will be included in the mid-year testing process.
• Students may test for the GT program only once a year. Testing will be administered ONLY if the student has not participated in screening testing during the current school year.
• Testing typically occurs in January and February during the spring semester.
