Over recent weeks we have been hearing reports of the dangers of certain Apps, unfortunately
Any app that is fun and enjoyable and attracts children and young people
Will also attract predators
So what do we do – Block the App?– not allow the child to use it?
These actions are of course your first instinct and rightly so.
But if we restrict accessibility to these apps on devises under our watchful eye
What about all the Tec that the child has access to on a daily basis?
Far better to involve yourself in the child’s online world
And help them to understand the dangers that are out there.
As Parent, Grandparents, Foster Carers we have the skills we need
To help our children protect themselves,

Scams
Online scams and fraud are on the rise and scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated. In recent weeks I have been asked to contact Royal Mail to arrange a delivery - I have apparently overpaid Inland revenue.
Think carefully before clicking that link – Check the senders address – read the message slowly does the grammar / spelling look suspect – if still not Shure contact the company/bank directly.
Cyber locker is a growing problem by clicking a link you unknowing down load ransom ware that locks you out of you Phone/tablet/computer.

Kayleigh's Love Story
Kayleigh's Love Story Film
Kayleigh's Love Story is as a warning to young people, both girls and boys, about the dangers of speaking to people they don't know online.
The film highlights just how quick and easy it can be for children to be groomed online without them or those around them knowing it is happening. Its purpose is to protect children now and in the future and to stop another family losing a child in this way.
