Lost and Found

If your child has lost an item at school (sweatshirt, coat, lunchbox, etc) please encourage him or her to check the lost & found. Items can be found in the back of the cafeteria and are donated, recycled or disposed of every two to three weeks. The next clean out is MARCH 4. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

Help Needed: Sandwich Project

Help Needed: Sandwich Project

We are always in need of additional volunteers to assist with our character education project called "The Sandwich Project." We've been making 250 sandwiches a week for St. Francis Seraph Ministries in OTR since 1997!


3-4 volunteers are needed weekly on Thursdays to set-up and assist. Mr. Stern and Mr. Dejoy will be there when the students arrive. Your assistance would be needed from 10:50-11:45. The commitment is under an hour! If you are available and interested for any Thursday during the remainder of the year, please contact: Christy Banke at pray4peace@gmail.com. Thank you.

Scheduling Update


High School Counselors have now met with 8th graders to verify their course requests for next year! Students who were absent last week should expect to hear from their counselor this week or next to review their class selections.


Students planning to take accelerated and/or AP classes should check this page to see if summer assignments will be required. Tentative information for this year's Summer School offerings can be found here.


Please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Brenner (A-K) or Mrs. Rose (L-Z) if you have any questions or concerns regarding your student's class selections.

Master Facilities Sessions

There are only two more Master Facility Concept Testing sessions left! Please join us at one of the following dates:

Saturday, February 23 10:00 a.m. at Sycamore High School

Wednesday, February 27 6:30 p.m. at Terwilliger Lodge


Can't join us in person for one of our Master Facility Concept Testing sessions? Learn more about the district's options for renovating and replacing buildings from home or wherever you can connect to wifi! Watch our Concept Testing session below. You'll even have the opportunity to take an online survey at the end of the presentation. The survey will close on February 28, 2019.

Safer Schools Ohio

A multi-agency effort created to assist schools in continuously improving the safety of our students. By calling or texting the statewide anonymous hotline parents, students or community members can report anything that is suspicious or endangering you, your friends or your school.

Immunizations for 7th graders

If you have not turned in your child's proof of immunizations from a doctor's office, please do so ASAP. The cutoff date was September 5th.

Fall Sports Start Dates!

Fall Sports Start Dates!

If your child is interested in participating in a fall sport in 2019, please make note of the followng important dates:


Football:

Equipment Passout will be Thursday Night July 25th here at the Junior High. The 8th-grade times is 6:00-6:45 and 7th 6:45-7:30. Conditioning starts Monday, July 29th from 8:30-11:30 and the official first day of practice takes place on Thursday, Aug 1st, 8:30-11:30.

Volleyball:

Open gyms will be on July 23, 25, and 30 from 9-11 am. Tryouts begin Thursday, Aug 1 with the 8th grade practicing from 8-10 am and 7th 10:00-12 noon.

Cross Country:

Will start on Thursday, Aug 1st. Practice time is 8-9:30 am. The team will meet outside of the auditorium doors on the football stadium side of the school.

Tennis:

Begins on Monday, Aug 5th. Practice times will be 9-11 am. Please meet at the Junior High Tennis Courts.

Boys and Girls Golf:

Tryouts will take place on August 1,2 and 5. Times and places will be announced at a later date.

Soccer:

Boys and Girls Soccer begins with conditioning on July 29, 30, and 31. Official practice and tryouts start on Thursday, Aug 1st. Girls will practice from 8-10 and Boys 10-12 noon. Please meet at the Tree of Life Church, located over the 71 bridge on Cooper Rd. The church address is 6477 Cooper Rd
