FM9 Eagle Scout Service Project
This past weekend, freshman Mason Solosko, built picnic tables to put in the FM9 garden for classes to sit at while working outside. He said, “The space was pretty empty out there and people would only have two little tables to work at.” This is why Mason chose building and placing picnic tables at the garden for his Eagle Scout project. Before becoming an Eagle Scout, he had been in Boy Scouts for five years; it’s a huge accomplishment to complete an Eagle Scout project. He explained that it was very cool that he’s already made his mark on this school as a Freshman. Mason explained his challenges to us when doing the project, “We didn’t have enough tools and the big tables were hard to transport, but we ended up getting it done.” Congratulations to Mason Solosko for receiving this Boy Scouts of America top honor.

National School Nurse Day
Guess what Thursday, May 12th is? It’s National School Nurses Day! Everyone should take a couple minutes out of their day and thank Mrs. Swanson for all she does to keep us healthy! This day acknowledges school nurses’ accomplishments in keeping the student and faculty community healthy. Nurses do more than aid in physical help, but they assist in mental health as well. Their job is to keep us healthy, mentally and physically. If you see Mrs. Swanson in the hallway, give her a quick thanks.
