Meet Meadow View's Special Education Teachers
Ms. Caitlyn Fahsel
Hello! My name is Caitlyn Fahsel and I am a special education teacher at Meadow View, working with students grades 3-5. It is my third year at Meadow View and I LOVE IT here, mostly because of our amazing, collaborative staff, wonderful students, and families. Prior to coming to this school, I graduated from UW-Madison, student-taught in Madison, and worked as a long-term substitute at a different school in Sun Prairie. (fun fact Nicole and I went to college together and were in the same program!) I am originally from Lake Mills, WI so I am not far from where I grew up. I currently live in Madison and when I am not teaching I enjoy traveling to visit family members (pre-Covid 19), running, playing with my dog, and learning to cook! I am also working toward my Master's degree in Educational Psychology from UW-Madison, so that keeps me pretty busy outside of teaching, too! Nice to meet you all!

Protective Behaviors
As in previous years, we are continuing our Protective Behaviors program in elementary schools. This is an abuse prevention program designed to educate our children in the principles of self-protection. This will consist of a developmentally appropriate video and a follow-up discussion. This year we will continue using the Play It Safe! Curriculum. Throughout October, I will present the video to classrooms via Zoom on a day selected by their classroom teacher between 8 am-1 pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). These lessons will be completed by November 2nd. Your child will receive notification about the day and time from their teacher beforehand. If you have any questions, please contact me at 608-909-1454 or kjeyers@sunprairieschools.org
Free School Meals
USDA has extended the Summer Meal Program that allows the Nutrition Program to provide children with free breakfasts and free lunches through December 31st, while funding lasts. Once a week families can pick up a 5-day meal box for each child 18 years and younger (or enrolled in school if older) at any of our serving sites listed below or at the Sun Prairie Emergency Food Pantry. Even children younger than school age qualify for these boxes. Our weekly meal boxes contain 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches and are for children in need of these food resources.
Here is the new expanded schedule:
Monday - Westside from 11 am - 12 pm (no change)
Tuesday - C H Bird from 11 am - 12 pm (no change)
Old Camden Apartment Complex from 12:30 - 1 pm (no change)
Wednesday - High School from 1:30 - 2:15 pm (New Serving Site - Door 15 pickup)
Northside from 4:30 - 5:15 pm (New time)
Thursday - Cardinal Heights Upper Middle from 1:30 - 2:15 pm (New Serving Site - Door 3 pickup - off Commercial St.)
Friday - Prairie View Middle from 10 - 10:45 am (New Serving Site - Door 11 - backside of building)
The Emergency Food Pantry will continue to hand out these weekly meal boxes 6 days a week with no change in that schedule.

Please help by filling out this PBIS Survey
Hello parents/guardians,
We are hoping you can help us by filling out this PBIS survey (which is a school-wide intervention program that helps to create a predictable and positive environment in which students can learn and grow), to let us know if you would be willing to sign up as a representative of your child’s classroom and join the PBIS team in a monthly meeting to continue to brainstorm and implement these programs within your child’s classroom to help our students have the most success possible. Once we have collected all the surveys, a PBIS representative will contact you to start working together.
Thank you for partnering with the Meadow View team in our goal to provide an amazing education for students. Please click on the link for the form: PBIS Parent Form

Meet Patti Brockman
I was raised in Sun Prairie. I have two amazing sons and four wonderful grandkids. I am a summer girl who enjoys the outdoors and reading. My background in education is in Early Childhood. I am also the Library Assistant at MV. The best part of my day is working with students one on one or in small groups. It is so rewarding to see the growth they make with each new year. The staff I work with are incredible! Meadow View parents are the best and I encourage you to become involved with our Parent organization.
