StuCo is offering some incentives throughout the weeks to encourage students to participate and donate more food items to this worthy cause. The campus competition will go thru Homeroom (2nd period class). The 2nd week of the drive we will have StuCo and NJHS students available at the front circle drive and band hall entrances to collect can food dropped off in the morning. Next week’s competition is breakfast food! The 2nd period class that donates the most breakfast items will win Italian ice. Only breakfast items count for the special prize, but all can goods count towards your grand total.
Bring in those cans and help show that once again Bedford is Best!

9TH GRADE GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
The Freshmen volleyball team traveled to compete against Keller Central Tuesday night. The girls came out fighting in the first set but were unable to reach 25 first. The girls were determined to fight for that 3rd set, and Katie Tyson set us up with some amazing service pressure, along with Riley Northrup at the net getting 4 blocks, and both Emma Pearcy and Kynzie Rodriguez got a block to keep us ahead. Lily Keen had some great hits, along with some quick defense from Eliana Santiago, Shelby Beck, Kena Lipham, and Lily Ray in the back row. Unfortunately, we were unable to keep our lead in serve receive, but the girls kept the game close, losing 22-25.
The Freshman girl’s volleyball team played last Friday night against Timber Creek High School! The girls came out competing and played smart in the first set winning 25-20! With their foot on the gas, they crushed it in the second set, winning 25-13. Big time service and sets from Katie Tyson. Huge presence and dominance on the net from Riley Northrup and Lily Keen. Our defensive specialists, Lily Ray and Eliana Santiago kept us alive in serve receive!
9TH GRADE FOOTBALL
9th grade football faced a worthy adversary last night at the Raider Bowl when they took on Little Elm. The B Team fought hard for all 4 quarters in a defensive juggernaut that ended in a tie. The A Team came out on fire, striking first with a 75 yard touchdown pass from Aden Madsen to Elijah Thompson. However, their efforts could not withstand the ground game
of Little Elm, and they lost a tough game. The Broncos look forward to their next matchup against the Hornets of Azle next Thursday night.
