St. Columba's Primary School
NEWSLETTER | TERM 4 | WEEK 5 | 11 NOVEMBER 2021
O God of truth and justice, we hold before you those whose memory we cherish,
and those whose names we will never know.
Help us to lift our eyes above the torment of this broken world,
and grant us the grace to pray for those who wish us harm.
As we honour the past, may we put our faith in your future;
for you are the source of life and hope, now and for ever.
Amen
From the Principal
Dear St Columba’s school community
Today is Remembrance Day; thank you Year 5 for the beautiful assembly.
Our Annual General Meeting was held last night. We thank the outgoing P&F Executive - Lara Tulett (President), Larissa Barnao (Vice President), Sarah Mann (Treasurer) and Louise Deshon (Secretary) - for all their hard work and dedication to enhancing the wonderful community spirit at St Columba’s. Hayley Mitchell was elected P&F President for 2022 and we are seeking parents to join Hayley on the P&F Executive. The School Advisory Council, led by Natalie Low, has been busy behind the scenes working through the School’s Strategic Plan. We thank outgoing members for their invaluable support: Natalie Low (Chair), Jose Flores and Talia Huxtable for their years of service. Our School Advisory Council for 2022 includes Phil Horner (Chair), Esmeralda Soliani and Hayley Roseby.
We extend a very warm welcome to new Assistant Principal, Jesse Yock. Jesse has been at school for the past couple of days, meeting staff and getting to know the students. Over at Kindy, the children were able to offer him some navigational advice in the kindy boat!
School fees are now over due; please make payment as soon as possible.
Our Year 3 students are celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation over the weekend; please keep them in your prayers.
God Bless
Rebecca Clarke
