STAFF NEWS
- Welcome Macon Weaver, Itinerant Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher. Macon will work with our students with hearing loss and their teachers and will be taking the Lynn Lietson's place. He has an office in PPO. When you see him, please give him a warm welcome.
- Welcome, Stefanie Winter, Special Education Paraprofessional! Stefanie's first day will be on Tuesday. We are excited that she will be joining the Special Ed Team! Please take time to go out of your way to introduce yourselves and offer assistance as needed.
BUCCANEER BRAVOS
BRAVO, TO EVERYONE FOR A PHENOMENAL CONFERENCE WEEK! Parents were impressed and excited with conferences, with the depth of knowledge you demonstrated for each student, and to see the growth and progress that has transpired in this first nine weeks! Way to go!
- STANDING OVATION to AMANDA GARDNER! Amanda collaborated with our PTA Performing Arts Chair to plan the three performances this week! These performances allowed additional planning time for our teachers!
- BLOW THEM AWAY, HONOR CHORUS! Amanda will take our Fifth Grade Honor Chorus to participate on Friday, 10/19. Forty-eight elementary schools in Cobb County have selected up to eight fifth grade students per school to participate in this select mass choir. A guest clinician will lead 350 singers in a full day of rehearsal in preparation for an evening concert for the community. Up to 1500 audience members are expected!

STEM FAIR
Tuesday evening our Foundation will host our annual STEM Fair. We have about 150 students who have registered to participate! If you are able to attend or make an appearance, kids and parents will be most appreciative!
RTI-2 Tier 2 - RESCHEDULED - 10/22
RTI-2 answers the CCC Question: What do we do when students are not learning? RTI-2 is our systematic approach to ensure that we are providing interventions for academics/behavior. It is a collaborative effort of the TEAM!
RESCHEDULED - Our first RTI-2 meeting will be on 10/22 during planning.

TECH THURSDAY
On Thursday at planning, we will revisit prioritized standards, load common formative assessments into CTLS (or take the ones already created) and ensure that the Q2 pre-test is ready to go. Dates for pre-and post-testing along with first data dive will be determined.
