SPACES still AVAILABLE for WoW Family night at Tri County Ninja
It will be the same night (Wednesday, October 26) but we are not doing the Block Party. Instead families will be invited to join us at Tri County Ninja in Fenton to showcase their "ninja" skills!
Flyers came home a couple weeks ago. This is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED registration.
Registration can only be in person at the WoW Office. You can sign up and submit payment. Teachers cannot take registration.
Mark your Calendars! WoW Dance Party is November 15th!
Please join us in the gym as we dance as a school to some rocking tunes!
There will be 2 sessions available on that day. You can come to one or both of them.
- 10:15-10:45am
- 2:15-2:45pm
This is not a stand around and watch event. The lights are off, and the gym will have star show lights etc. We want full participation so come ready to get your groove on!
Snowpants
Snow boots would be helpful for warm feet as well but they aren't really necessary until there is snow. With that said, when it's cold enough for snowpants, that means that the rainboots I recommended for Fall will also be too cold. Rainboots actually trap cold air inside!
I know, this is complicated and isn't fun. But being well prepared is what gives your child the copportunity to fully engage in our outdoor time. As opposed to huddled up, hands in pockets and shivering.
Great SAFETY opportunity for Parents below!
Checking out books from WoW's Lending Library
These books can be read by any family member to your student. As you know, multiple readings of the same book greatly improve literacy skills for children.
Here is how this will work:
- Books will be DUE on Thursday each week,
- A new book will be checked out on Thursday
- Students are allowed to have TWO books checked out at the same time
- Students may NOT check out any more books until those are returned
- However, if the two books have not been returned, a book can be selected for the classroom library but it will not go home.
- There will be a Name Card in a pocket for the book, this must stay in the pocket
- If a book is lost or damaged, we ask that it be replaced with a gently-used book from your home library. Do not buy a new book (our library consists of donations)
Happy Reading!
Library books should not stay in folders or backpacks. Keep them at home for reading and rereading until Thursday.
As part of the transition to winter, please reference this chart for our policy of when we will or will not go outside.
