#experienceNewProspect
Part of our People & Culture pillar on our Strategic Plan (left) is to provide our community with academic and social experiences from the perspective of an NPE student. In light of this work we have developed a way to track our wonderful experiences on social media.
The saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” couldn’t be truer with our new hashtag (#experienceNewProspect). Look below for some of our hashtag showcasing all the great things we have going on at New Prospect! There are Science experiments, 3D printers, reading & writing galore, math stations, our awesome school groups like Student Council & S.W.A.T Team and our new Brain Building Days! I am beyond blessed for these students and teachers each and every day! I encourage you to join twitter and search #experinceNewProspect for live communication!
Thank you for your never ending support!

From Mrs. Bercher in the Media Center
Overdue Books: The Overdue Notice in your child’s folder means that the books are overdue. Each students has 14 days to enjoy a book. If he/she is not finished with it, we will be happy to renew it for another 14 days. There are no monetary fines for overdue books; however, if the book is lost, a replacement fee will be charged. When you pay for a lost book, please note that payment must be made in the exact amount because we cannot give change. If the amount is more than the amount due, the overage/difference will be considered a donation to the school. Thank you.
Digital Citizenship: New Prospect is committed to digital citizenship. Here are some links to Common Sense Media, which supplies curriculum for each grade level in Fulton County. Website in English: https://www.commonsensemedia.org/

Please consider creating an account with Common Sense Media. Check out the Parent Concerns tab, with info. on cell phones, screen time, violence in the media, reading, and mental health. Ms. Bercher will have a table set up during Pizza, Pops, and Hoops this Friday. Please feel free to stop by a pick up a family tip sheet.

Steps to become a Volunteer
Fulton County Schools values and promotes active engagement of the community in all of our schools. Thousands of individuals serve as volunteers in our schools each year. Volunteer opportunities may include:
* Serving as tutors, mentors, or guest speakers
* Providing assistance in classrooms, cafeteria, library, or main office
* Organizing student enrichment and recognition activities
* Supporting special events, athletics, and school planning councils
How do I become a volunteer?
1. Register at the Fulton County Schools Volunteer Page. (Link Below)
2. Complete the mandatory online training.
3. Complete the volunteer application.
Please allow 48 hours for your application to be processed before you visit the school to volunteer. Volunteers must complete this process EVERY year.
When you arrive at the school for your first volunteer assignment, please present your government identification (i.e. driver's license, state issued ID cards, Mexican consular cards, green cards, military ID) to verify your identity.
Transportation & Absence Notes
No Student is allowed in the school until 7:10 am. There is no supervision until that time.
