SY20 TCES Family Issue #30
April 27, 2020
Hello Town Creek Families,
During a virtual staff meeting earlier this week, teachers and staff shared one word to describe how they are currently feeling.
My one-word feeling is grateful.
I am grateful to our teachers and staff for their dedication, collaboration, and adaptability. I am grateful to our students for their focus and participation in our Continuous Learning Opportunities. And I am grateful to YOU as you continue to work with our teachers and your child to make this continuous learning experience the very best that it can be. Our students' success during these past two weeks is a direct result of your efforts and the strong home/school connection we have established. Keep up the great work!
Throughout the extended school closure, SMCPS is providing continuous opportunities for learning. This is not our normal way of doing business, so there are many questions. SMCPS will provide ongoing updates for these questions in this format.
Select this link to view the full TCES Teacher & Staff appreciation PDF File. Staff email addresses are included in the TCES Office Hours button below and may also be found on the TCES website.
We will be available via email to answer and respond to questions and concerns. Although staff may be available outside of these times, please be aware that responses to any communications received outside of these hours may be delayed. Thank you!
A Message from Ms. Maier
The SMCPS elementary school counselors have been busy creating guidance lessons for our students. Lessons are in the Counselor's Corner app in Clever [LINK]. There are lessons for students in grades K-2 and students in grades 3-5. The lessons are usually less than 20 minutes in length and are full of stories, songs, and activities.
I would love to hear from you as you engage in the lessons. Please email me and share what you liked and what you learned. My email is email@example.com. I look forward to hearing from you and can't wait until we are all back together at TCES.
Due to the topics addressed, My Hero is You should be read by a trusted adult/caregiver alongside a child or a small group of children. It is not encouraged for children to read this book independently without the support of a trusted adult/caregiver.
This site will take you to some OPTIONAL SMCPS Media Lessons. If you are looking to supplement your child's daily activities, you are invited to use these grade level media lessons.
