Moving Into May...
As we move into the month of May, we know there are many end of year activities that typically happen, that either won't happen this year, or they will have to be done differently. As Katy ISD sent in an email, as soon as we know how we will pass out student materials, collect library books and technology and also pass out yearbooks, we will communicate that with you.
We are also hoping to have a few ways to thank our teachers the week of May 4th, as it is Teacher Appreciation Week. Be thinking of ways your family might show your teacher appreciation. We have the best at Bethke!
Also, we have already begun planning for 2020-2021. I'll be making classes and schedules soon and Mrs. Lucas and I will work together to be sure our students who are moving to McElwain also have balanced classes. We ask that you continue to let us know if you are moving and enroll those younger siblings. More than ever, we cannot wait for a new school year.
Finally, I hope that you are taking some time to appreciate yourself. This has been such a shift for all of us, and I know as a parent, you want the absolute best for your child....and you are enough!
Stay well!
Mrs. Lowery

Week 6 Learning!
Please visit http://tinyurl.com/bethkeonline/ to access your child’s Week 6 Activity Boards.
You will notice that the weekly link page looks a little different this week. We have added additional pencils due to the extension of online learning. We will continue to develop activity boards for the remainder of the school year to keep your students engaged in learning.
Remember that the district choice boards are also available if your student needs additional activities. Our goal is to provide learning and enrichment for our students without creating undue stress on families during this already stressful time.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's teacher.

A Note from Our Counselors:
Hello, Bethke Bison!
We want to take this opportunity to reach out and let everyone know that we are here to support everyone in our Bison community. Each week in the Bison Bulletin, we will provide short yet relevant information from our district and a link to request to speak with a counselor. A social-emotional learning lesson will be added to the Bethke Weekly Learning Choice Board beginning the week of April 13.
We love and miss our Bison herd and are here to support you J

Evening Meals at MRHS
Dear Katy ISD Parents/Guardians and Staff,
On Monday, April 13, the BE A CHAMPION (BAC) organization will begin distributing grab and go meals at the front entrance of Morton Ranch High School. The late day meal service is offered Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. or until supplies last. All children are eligible to participate in the free meal program. BAC meals are individually packaged, and the ‘Grab and Go’ drive thru service does not require a family member to get out of their car.
BE A CHAMPION INC was founded in 2001 by James Hong and Jaron Barganier, a Mayde Creek High School graduate. BAC is a sports, education and nutrition outreach program designed to support Houston area youth that may be in need.
Questions regarding the meal program, please call BAC at 281-833-3129 or email at info@BACHAMP.org

Parent and Student Resources
The picture below is of the parent and student resources that you should have received. This helps answer questions like: where do we find activities, how do we access this if we don't have a device, where can we find cheaper internet, etc. If you did not receive this document and you would like it resent, please email us and we will get it to you.
It is important that your email is correct, as much of our communication will be going out this way. If you are not receiving information, please let Mrs. Suarez know by contacting her at eldaasuarez@katyisd.org.
