Financial Aid/Scholarship Session for Study Abroad

If you are a student looking into traveling abroad but are looking for ways to pay for your trip, then come to this session! Representatives from both the Office of International Education and Financial Aid office will be here to help with any questions that students may have!
Step III Deadline: Summer and Fall Semester Study-Abroad Programs
Applications due no later than noon
This is the deadline for most summer and fall 2017 study abroad trips through UWO! There are certain trips that do not have this day as a deadline, but the majority of trips are needed to be applied for today!

Another piece put on by UWO students, Laughter on the 23rd Floor talks about the 1950's culture and society at the time, with a comical spin placed on a staff full of writers- what could go wrong? Tickets range from $5-$14.
Dream, Girl: UW Oshkosh Diversity and Inclusion Film Series

The next film presented in the UW Oshkosh Diversity and Inclusion Film Series, Dream, Girl is a documentary about ambitious and entrepreneurial women and the stories of how they got to be where they are now.
Titan Nights: Professional Dress Fashion Show featuring Katie Manthey

The creator of Dress Profesh, Katie Manthey, is helping emcee an event showcasing clothing options that the Career Closet has for students. This event is also to help discuss how professional dress is oppressive in nature to some minority populations.

Tom Ryan, a renowned fitness and nutrition speaker, is coming to speak to students on how to effectively fight college weight gain, gain nutritional knowledge and help combat any urges that arise in terms of unhealthy habits!
Happiness Challenge 2017: Just Laugh
This is a week-long event hosted by the UWO Counseling Center to help provide students ways to combat any sort of stress! This week's topic is just laugh! With most of these events, students can follow along on the Counseling Center's Facebook page and choose which apply to them the best!

The Black Lives Matter marches over the last year and the recent Women’s March bring home the importance of integrating contemporary events into our teaching. These marches lift up the voices of people of color, trans and queer people and women.
This Roundtable Discussion will focus on how we effectively bring pressing contemporary events and issues into our courses. This open forum will be a collaborative exploration of how we connect the past and present in our classrooms.Several dynamic speakers will kick off the event to inspire our conversations.

Have you ever wanted to help make a difference and help students manage their classwork? The Peer Mentor position is geared towards motivated and dedicated individuals who have a want to help first-year students in their acclimation to college life!

Michael Kareken Artist Reception
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Artist Michael Kareken, who is known for infusing scrap pieces and garbage into his paintings, is having his art currently shown in the campus art gallery. From February 22 until March 15, students can go in and check out his many pieces of acclaimed artwork.
Specifically on March 2, there is a reception being held for Kareken that will help showcase his art on a different level.
Health Advocate application
Do you hold an interest in any sort of a health or wellness field? Students who will at least be a sophomore next year, hold a minimum of a 2.5 GPA and are studying in a field related to health or wellness are able to apply for position.
MBA Information Session
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Any students who are interested in continuing their education towards earning an MBA should check this event out! This event is organized by Tera Larson and will provide valuable information about the benefits of earning at MBA from UWO!
