Pounamu Newsletter
Week 3- Term 3 2022
Kia ora e te whānau,
We have had a week of illness this week with many children away. Thank you to those families who kept their children at home until they were well again.
In this colder weather please remember that the children play outside if it's not raining and need a warm clothing. It's also helpful to have a change of trousers and socks if have a child you enjoys getting muddy!
Keep warm.
Ngā mihi,
Pounamu Teachers.

Reading at home
We find that reading consistently with children is the best way to help them progress, especially when they are first starting to learn to read.
Try to keep if fun, be positive, and make it a time for you to have some quiet time with your child.
To support reading you can also login to Sunshine online and Epic books. They have online reading and activities you can do. Sunshine online is login paparangi password - school. Epic is a site you can login yourself.
