Social Media Issues
Dear CVHS Families,
You may be aware of an alarming social-media challenge that encourages students to vandalize or steal school property, then post photo or video evidence online.
We are asking our families to partner with us in helping to stop these acts. Please speak with your child about being socially responsible and respectful of school property, reminding them that these challenges are vandalism, theft, and/or disruption of the learning environment. These acts are not innocent pranks. Any student who intentionally causes damage or steals from our school will face disciplinary action, and law enforcement may be involved.
Thank you for talking to your child about the importance of school pride and respect for property.

Parent/Guardian(s) - Calls will be made when students need to be placed in quarantine if identification is made during school hours. After hours, an email will be sent home.
While in quarantine, students will be able to access the curriculum through Google Classroom, our online platform. Teachers will place assignments on Google classroom weekly if not daily and will check in with your student to ensure they are not overwhelmed upon their return. Additional time will be given to complete any missed assignments. Students are also encouraged to reach out directly to their teachers.
Note: We need the support of our CVHS community in being cognizant of your child's health and to keep them home if they do not feel well. They will have access to the curriculum via Google classroom and will be given additional time to make up assignments.
Jaguar Success

Athletic Director's Message
What a great week we had in Athletics! Our Women's Golf Team led by Coach Scott Jones, finished 3rd at the Ridge Classic and Senior Makenzie Cooper finished 3rd overall! Our Women's Volleyball team competed at the Epic Tourneys Chandler Prep Classic and finished 9th out of 72 teams! Both of our Divers, Brooke Woeslaw and Luke Christensen qualified for STATE! Cross Country had their first appearance at the Desert Twilight cross country meet and Avery Spickler finished 31 out of over 210 runners!
Thank you to all of you who came out to our first home Football game of the season. Our Jags had a great showing against a very competitive Desert Edge, but our coaches and athletes pushed through. Our student section, band/color guard, spirit-line and families made the atmosphere incredible. We apologize for the sprinklers and lights, the timers will be adjusted for our future home games. Number 53, Jesse Ortiz is in good spirits and will make a speedy recovery, thank you to our Sports Medicine Student Athletic Trainers, Mr. Bechri and Dr. Monroe for making sure Jesse was well taken care of.
See you all next week at West Point!
Thank you for your continued support!
