All Things Rushing!
Principal's Message!
Hello All,
It was a wonderful break but I am so grateful to get to see all of you on Monday, November 30. It is so hard for me to express exactly how thankful I am to be a part of this Rushing family! It was my absolute honor to become the principal and I cannot explain how much I am learning and how much I have grown both personally and personally. I have learned from the kids to be forgiving, kind, full of grace, and so very positive, to face each day with a fresh outlook and be excited about absolutely EVERYTHING! I have learned from parents to be cognizant of the fact that I am the steward of the most important and precious thing to them, their children. I have learned from my staff and teachers what it is to have a true servant's heart and give 100% of their hearts and souls into what they love! I have learned what it is to be a part of something bigger than myself and how important it is to make decisions based on that! As we move into the craziness that is this time of the year, I wanted you all to know I am thankful for each and every one of you more than you know!
As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns! Thank you for your continued support and, as I have said, with GRACE, GRATITUDE, and KINDNESS, we can resolve any issue and move forward for the success of our students at Rushing Middle School, GO RAPTORS!
Sincerely,
Danielle Wallace
All-Region Band Congratulations!
We are incredibly proud of the following band students! These students did this completely on their own. This was something they accomplished without help! While band directors have focused on getting students caught up on things they may have missed because of quarantines and shutdowns, these students took on an additional challenge. The students below took it upon themselves as a challenge and learned the music on their own.
7th Grade - Katie Lee - Flute - 7th Chair Honor Band - 15th Overall out of 133
7th Grade - Violet Ringger - Flute - 11th Chair Concert Band - 40th Overall out of 133

Counselor Update!
Welcome back! We hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving Break. This week Counselors will be doing guidance on anti-victimization/healthy relationships with all students. Counselors are also busy doing academic counseling. The end of the 2nd 9-weeks/1st semester is December 18th. Please check Skyward for grades. One tip is to set an alarm on your phone or add a day each week/every other week to your calendar to check Skyward. If you have questions concerning assignments or your child's performance in a class, please contact their teacher. If you need further assistance, please contact your child's Counselor.
We are so grateful for our Rushing community!
