Hello Bobcat Families,

We have a new system in place for parents who are coming to the office to either sign in or to sign out your student(s). When you arrive on campus please bring your cell phone and id, we have a QR Code you will scan with your phone in place of signing a sheet of paper. This is another way for us to go paperless.

Dear Families - Our Kids Heart Challenge program is kicking off on January 30th! We are proud to support the American Heart Association and Be the Torch in the fight against heart disease and stroke! Students will learn how to keep their hearts happy and healthy through physical and mental wellbeing, while helping others with special hearts by raising lifesaving donations. Our goal is to have 100% of our school families join the team and learn Hands-Only CPR through Finn’s Mission. Don’t wait, get started TODAY! Students who join the team early AND students who complete Finn’s Mission will get recognized at our kick-off!

2. TAKE THE CHALLENGE to Move More or Be Kind and earn the FREE Be the Torch Wristband when we kick-off!
3. COMPLETE FINN’S MISSION in your HQ to learn Hands-Only CPR, how to spot a stroke F.A.S.T., and how you can help kids with special hearts!

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon to Copper Creek! The Book Fair will be held in the library February 13-17. Students will be able to shop for books during school hours and with their families after school. You can also visit the fair on our early release conference days! Look for information coming soon about setting your child up with an eWallet to shop the fair. We are currently looking for volunteers to help.

Copper Creek staff has been working this year to embrace a comprehensive standards-based mindset as we work towards gradually moving as a district towards standards-based grading. Our early release Fridays focus on PLC’s (Professional Learning Communities), as well as ongoing professional development for our staff. This past Monday teachers spent the day hearing from a guest speaker deepening their knowledge on how aligning the standards based mindset and continuing to look at data with their PLC teams, will help to increase student performance at Copper Creek. Copper Creek staff and teachers are dedicated to student excellence and will continue to participate in trainings together to help guide our staff in tracking and reporting academic performance related to the Arizona College and Career Ready Standards. Just as our students come here to learn, we are proud of our teachers for also taking time to be more effective at providing the best educational experience we can for your children.
