LCPS Summer 2020 Continuity of Education Resources
The Department of Instruction and Pupil Services has published a summer Continuity of Education resource for Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) families. Principals are asked to promote this website through school communication.
The website (see link below) is intended to help students maintain the learning they achieved during the 2019-2020 school year so that they have a high level of readiness when school resumes for the 2020-2021 school year. All activities are voluntary and are designed to support parents in their efforts to keep students learning so their academic skills remain sharp.
The website includes:
Information on digital tools that students have access to this summer;
A link to our curriculum pages;
Information on family-friendly websites;
A link to social-emotional resources; and
A section on Special Education.
Additional resources will be added to the website later in the summer.
Immunizations for 6th and 7th Grade Students in LCPS
Please see the following three .pdf links that we have attached regarding immunizations for upcoming 6th and 7th grade students. The 7th grade immunization is mandatory and the State of Virginia requires proof of the immunization from students Health Care Provider in order to start school this Fall.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Recognizing Harper Park Middle School Parent Volunteers
We would like to take a moment to thank all the parents that took time out of their busy lives at work and home to give back to our school. The names listed below served in various capacities -- some as PTA officers, front office volunteers, library “shelf elves,” cafeteria volunteers, key drama production volunteers, and/or one-time special event volunteers for such activities as the Back to School Breakfast, Picture Day, Book Fair, etc. The PTA even teamed up with our administration to provide a virtual Teacher Appreciation Event back in May!
A huge thank you goes out to these parents for their time, effort, and dedication!
