Spirit Challenge Day - Pajama Day
On Wednesday, preschool campers will use a variety of different produce items to "Have Fun with Healthy Foods." They will work with their counselors to identify the names of commonly known fruits and vegetables and classify the foods using the categories fruits and vegetables. Preschool campers will identify which fruits and vegetables grow on a tree, on a vine, or in the ground and will describe each fruit and vegetable by its physical attributes. When they are finished they will taste test! They will snack on healthy fruits and vegetables. This will be delicious and nutritious!
On Thursday, our preschool yogis will relax their bodies and their minds as they participate in the "Little Buddha Yoga" program brought to our camp by Launch Your Kid. Little Buddy Yoga connects the child’s mind, body and spirit to facilitate learning. Through music, storytelling, creative play and other arts, campers will be engaged to explore the fun path of yoga. Our little yogis will be exposed to developmentally appropriate yoga exercises designed to teach yoga terminology, poses and meditation techniques. This will be a great event for our preschool campers. Namaste!
Do you love to dress up and play doctor? On Friday, the 22nd, our preschool nurses and doctors will take part in a program brought to Chesterbook by the Little Medical School. This will be a fun and exciting program that will help campers explore the world of medicine. Through interactive learning, campers will discover how the body and organs work and how to use medical instruments.
