Many Hands, One Mason!
June 9, 2019
Dear Mason Families,
Happy Sunday! We had an action packed weekend with so many wonderful Mason family activities. Saturday, Mrs. Cooper led the charge as our community rallied together to install our pollinator garden and it looks amazing! Stop by and see it along the fence by the swings tomorrow morning when you arrive to school. Sunday, we had a well attended Community Playdate between Mason, Poupard, Monteith and Defer! It was great to see so many parents ready to have the conversation about keeping our community together during this time of uncertainty.
This week marks the last week of school for our learners! On the behalf of the entire Mason staff, I would like to thank you for an amazing year. Your support, kindness and patience helps us meet the many needs of our student body and community. Without your support, the mission of making sure everyone has a conducive learning environment wouldn't be possible. As we begin thinking about next year already, feel free to connect with the main office if you would like to help support our school in anyway possible next year. Your help is not only wanted but needed. Thanks for a great year!
Happy last week of school,
Roy Bishop, Jr.
Proud Principal
Summer Slide: It is so important that help our learners keep their educational progress up over the summer! Please read the article below for ways to help your child continue to be a learner at home over the summer! Enjoy!

Dangerous Technology Situations: Please closely monitor your learner and their online usage. So many games have outlets for our learners to connect with people they have never met virtually and this can be a very scary situation. Please talk with your child about how stranger danger also exists online as well.
Happy Retirement to Tracy Gillette! Congratulation to Tracy Gillette on her retirement! Tracy will be missed at Mason but we are all better for having her in our lives. After a very extensive interview process, we are excited to welcome Racheal Loscher to Mason as our new Speech Pathologist. Rachael's extensive background at both the elementary and secondary level will help us continue to meet the needs of our students that receive speech services! Welcome to Mason, Rachael!
Dinner Conversations Talking Points
How can you continue to work on your reading skills over the summer?
Bottle Drive at Mason: Our Mason PTO has made it easier than ever to get rid of those ever-mounting cans and bottles! You will now find a marked bin near the dumpster in the school lot. Just drive up and deposit your bagged returnables and know that you are helping Mason to raise funds that will enhance our kids’ school experience. Thank you so much for your support!
