Zeus

The Most Significant God

Thesis Statement

In James M Hunt’s “The Olympians”, Zeus is the most significant god in Greek Mythology that portrays the image as powerful but he is also cruel when people don’t please him.

Summary

Zeus is a powerful god because he punishes those who break promises/oaths but also those who lie.

Introduction

For example, Zeus has authority on Earth but he also has authority on Mount Olympus. But he also wrestled his own sons.

Explanation

This shows that Zeus is cruel yet powerful. It shows that he is cruel because, he made his own father vomit on his brothers and sisters. But it also shows how much power Zeus had, to have been able to cause something like that.

Conclusion

In conclusion this is how Zeus portrays the image as powerful but also as cruel, by the things he caused. But also by how he treated others.
