What To Do
Newberg is a friendly community located in the heart of the scenic Willamette Valley. The natural beauty is the perfect backdrop to Newberg’s world-class skate park, BMX track and Frisbee golf course. The historic downtown consists of a variety of stores, art galleries, coffee shops, restaurants, a retro movie theater and a drive-in. It is also among the safest cities in Oregon. In a survey released in 2014, Newberg was ranked the fourth-safest city in Oregon.

Rafting
The Deschutes River originates high in the Cascade mountains from Little Lava Lake. The river carves its path through 250 miles of eastern Oregon before flowing into the Columbia. The ‘Lower Deschutes’ refers to the 100-mile section from the mouth of the Deschutes to Pelton Dam (near Lake Billy Chinook). The Lower Deschutes River offers a beautiful desert canyon filled with sage brush, osprey, incredible basalt rock formations and plenty of exciting rapids.
Chehalem Mountains
The Chehalem Mountains are a mountain range located in the Willamette Valley in the state of Oregon. Forming the southern boundary of the Tualatin Valley, the Chehalems are the highest mountains in the Willamette Valley.
Ninety-Nine West Twin Cinemas & Drive-In Theaters
The Ninety-Nine West Twin Cinemas & Drive-In Theatres have enjoyed a rich history. Having opened in 1953, the historic retro theater still entertain patrons today showing films on the drive-in screens as well as at the locations indoor theater.
