Principal's Blog

Greetings Seminoles,

We are coming off a very exciting week and heading into a week of instructional focus. We understand the goal to raise the academic bar at Creekside High School will take a lot of hard work and effort from students, teachers, staff and parents. This week we will continue with intensive instruction, classroom observations, staff coaching and feedback, and a professional learning day on Friday September 14th. We have committed ourselves to stay "Mission Focused" which means we will always reflect on our "Why" as work for our scholars. Once again, I would like to thank everyone for your hard work, and ask that we continue the path to success by encouraging one another as much as possible.

AVID students show Cluster Love

Creekside High School AVID students visited students at E. C. West Elementary School last week. CHS students read to Pre-K, Kindergarten, and ESOL students to promote reading, and Cluster Week. E.C. West students and staff were very excited to have high school students in their classes. We plan to continue activities such as this with our other cluster feeder schools in the future.

Creekside High School Varsity Football Streak is over

It has been a process for Coach Dixon to rebuild and work on turning around the CHS football program. Creekside High School is known for is rich legacy on the field with past victories including State Champions during the 2013 season. The CHS football team crushed New Manchester in a 38-0 victory on Friday Night. This victory was captured by the many fans who were in attendance for the first annual CHS cluster night. Great Job to all students, Coach Dixon, and his staff.

The Creekside High First Annual Cluster Night

Mr. Pollock stated in his initial address to parents, and staff that his goal was to build community and cluster relationships. On Friday September 7th, CHS celebrated its first annual Cluster Night with students, and staff from cluster schools and district representatives. Mr. Pollock often states, in order to build the culture of Creekside High School, we must engage students and families at an early age. Cluster Night is an opportunity to build excitement and give families an opportunity to show their "Tribe Pride". We would to acknowledge and thank all of the dignitaries who participated in Cluster Night.
