Eagle Flyer

A newsletter for Walnut Hills High School

we rose to the challenges...

...as walnut hills is known to do!

we had a great start to the school year!

Rather than tell you all about what happened at school this week, please take some time this weekend to listen to your child's perspective on the first days of school.

Try some open-ended questions and give them a little time and space.

Listen for what was great, challenging, and interesting about their first days!

curriculum night: Thursday, August 26, 6:30-8:30 pm - now virtual!

Out of an abundance of caution and based on how many people attend our Curriculum Night, we have decided to hold the event virtually. Parents will still have the opportunity to meet their children's teachers virtually using Google Meet.

Picture Day

Picture Day is Friday, August 27! Here is all of the information that you need to know!

school COVID testing and absences

  • Students who are new to Walnut Hills or who did not complete the form last year are encouraged to submit the COVID Consent to Testing Form. They can drop off this form at the Med Room. There is no need to submit a new form if we have your student's on file from last year.
  • Students who may be quarantined due to COVID or COVID exposure should report their absence following the school's attendance reporting protocols (see Back-to-School Information Sheet) and communicate their absences with their teachers. Students will need to check Schoology frequently for updates.

CPS devices for new students

CPS devices for students who are new to CPS will be distributed on Monday, August 23, at Walnut Hills during the school day. Students should listen to the announcements for the details of where to pick up their new device.
